Trash & Treasure Sale Postponed Until 2025
The Mission and Evangelism Committee has canceled the 2024 Trash & Treasure Event. The committee members believe it is best to reschedule our Trash & Treasure for next year (2025) so we are better prepared with the number of participants needed (35 people) and place our focus on the numerous changes our church is going through to make this popular event successful. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to 2025 and to all the
help you can give us next year!
What is Trash & Treasure? For Years, Rocky River Presbyterian Church (RRPC) organized a rummage sale, typically the first Saturday of October. This has become a popular event at our Church and for the community. Shoppers found their own treasures among gently used goods, unique finds, collectibles, and a variety of items donated by members of our congregation and the community.
Where does the money collected from the sale go? All money raised from the sale of goods is donated to a designated mission to be determined each year. Each mission initiative raises anywhere from $3,000 to $6,000.
If you have questions about his mission initiative, contact Mission Chairperson Eric Watts (

Volunteer Opportunities for 2025:
Thank you to everyone who donated their time and talents to volunteer at the event in the past. To give you an idea of the work it takes to successfully hold Trash and Treasure event, here’s what our volunteers accomplished. Consider becoming a volunteer for the next sale!
- Collect and sort items to be sold during the week preceding the sale.
- Be a cashier and help out in one of our many departments.
- Count money collected during the sale.
- Clean and pack-up unsold items, which are donated to other organizations.
- Bake! We typically sell baked goods and are always looking for bakers!
