Meet Our Pastor

Welcome Rev. Peter J. Lawson – Transitional Pastor

Rocky River Presbyterian Church (RRPC) is celebrating an exciting time of transition. After more than 30 years of service to RRPC, Pastor Emeritus Dr. Jon Fancher has taken a well-deserved retirement. We are forever grateful for Dr. Fancher’s profound and positive impact on RRPC.

We are thrilled to welcome Rev. Dr. Peter J. Lawson, our new Transitional Pastor. Rev. Lawson will help us pave the way and search for our next Called (permanent) Pastor. He will also direct us as we take time to study the needs of the Congregation through this time of change.

Rev. Lawson previously served as Pastor of the Northfield Presbyterian Church, and several other Presbyterian Churches in Ohio and Pennsylvania. He also served as a U. S. Army National Guard Chaplain for 30 years. In deployment, he provided pastoral care to Service Men and Women, supporting combat troops in Ramadi Iraq (2005-2006) and Kuwait (2018).
