Overview

Presbyterian Women (PW) is a church-wide organization whose membership is open to all women. PW members are those who choose to participate in or be supportive of Presbyterian Women in any way. PW intentionally seeks the membership of women from all racial/ethnic groups so that the organization may reflect a vision of the whole church as a community of mutual interdependence in which diversity contributes to wholeness. PW gives strong support to the mission of the denomination and determines its own leadership, program, and budget.

Purpose

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:

• to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
• to support the mission of the church worldwide,
• to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God’s Kingdom.

Mission Statement

The Presbyterian Women of the Rocky River Presbyterian Church shall be committed to caring for all people through prayer and Bible study. They shall support the missions of the church and make the congregation aware of these missions and concerns. Everyone is welcome to participate in the circles and activities of Presbyterian Women.
