Chancel Choir
Rocky River Presbyterian Church (RRPC) welcomes everyone to join our Chancel and/or Bell Choir. No auditions! We’ll show you everything you need to know to get started! New members are welcome any time of the year. Under the direction of our gifted and talented RRPC Music Director Ann Gilbert, we present a variety of pieces that are sure to engage, enlighten, and inspire the Congregation.
Chancel Choir singing and rehearsals take place on a weekly “ever-other” basis:
- Singing/Performing – The Choir sings and shares their gifts of song on the first and third Sunday of the month, during the months of September through May.
- Rehearsal – The Choir rehearses one hour before worship at 9:30 a.m. (when service is at 10:30 a.m.) on the first and third Sunday of the month, and immediately after 10:30 a.m. worship on the second and fourth Sunday of the month.
The Choir selects a variety of songs including traditional and contemporary choral songs, spirituals, and hymns. Soloists and instrumentalists have opportunities to enhance the musical offerings.
Chancel Bell Choir
RRPC’s Bell Choir is a beautiful ensemble of folks who, individually, ring one or two bells that sound a particular note when that note appears in the music. When played together, the Bell Choir acts as one instrument. Some of our bell ringers have years of experience, while others are new to bell ringing. Whether it’s your first time or your are a pro, we all make “joyful noise” to the Lord.
- Bell Ringing/Performing – Select Sunday Worship services, September through May.
- Rehearsal – Wednesday evenings, 6:15 p.m.
Our Bell Choir’s offerings are always a special part of select Sunday Worship services.
